The Fairtrade Group is made up of pupils from Prep 4 to Prep 7. This action group gives the opportunity to develop the girls' knowledge and understanding of global issues, learn about fair trade and become actively involved in making a difference to the lives of farmers and workers all over the world. We also aim to teach others how they can be involved in changing the world around them and promote the importance of using and buying Fairtrade products.

Our Action Groups were very busy this first term, to help fundraise money for new tablet technology.

They have carried out the following roles:

ECO & iTeam – To design posters for around school to promote the Fun Run

CAG & IAG: To design the sponsorship form for the Fun Run

Fairtrade Team & SNAG: To approach a local business to sponsor the event with a drink and snack. Pupils posted requests on Seesaw and were successful in getting a bottle of water and a packet of crisps per pupil.

School Council & Welcome: To design a flyer for Seesaw to promote the Fun Run.

The whole event was a huge success and raised more than £3500. We have since purchased 35 new tablets, cases and charging stations!
