Pupils across Prep created their own version of the Queen to celebrate the Jubilee
Elmer's Big Belfast Trail - Painting Elton!
Prep 5 girls were delighted to participate along with all classes in school in a very special fundraising activity in Senior School. The challenge involved painting a unique circular design on an elephant sculpture. This completed sculpture will eventually be on display in Belfast city centre in the summer for everyone to admire! Each girl made a donation of £1 and the proceeds will go to the very worthwhile charity, Northern Ireland Hospice.

World Book Day 2022
Prep 5 were busy on World Book Day showing off their costumes and their potato competition entries. Well done to everyone!
Early Man
Prep 5 enjoyed a wonderful Early Man workshop with Event-full Days on 17 January. Rita had brought along a variety of activities where the girls learnt how to weave, made replica axes, and completed stone rubbings.
They took part in a fact-finding treasure hunt in the Great Hall, searching through the displays to answer questions about what life was like for early man.
The girls worked hard as they tried to grind wheat into flour using a flat stone, and they explored how early man built tombs to honour their dead.
There was also clay pot making and an opportunity to make a section of wattle and daub fencing, but the highlights were definitely when the girls got to test out shooting a bow and arrow and cooking over an open fire. A brilliant day to bring together all our topic learning.
A Pocket Full of Kindness
Prep 5 have been celebrating how kind actions can have a positive impact in our classroom. We created a kindness tree for our window illustrating hearts as the leaves and listed kind actions we can do to help others at home and school.
Inspired by Van Gogh
Prep 5 put their artistic skills to the test by making their own version of Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers”. They utilised a range of media, including paint and collage. Beautiful work, girls!
Crêpe making in Prep 5
Prep 5 enjoyed a wonderful time making crêpes as part of Languages Week. They took it in turns to cook, and while waiting, they were working hard independently on their research activities.
