Artistic Talent

Morrow Communications were in the Prep School on Thursday 23 March to work with Prep 5 on a new project with the Ulster-Scots Association. This year, the Ulster-Scots have been working with CCEA on a new project Ulster-Scots Artists with one of the featured characters being a former teacher in Victoria, Ms Mercy Hunter. Prep pupils were involved in a drama performance explaining more about Mercy Hunter’s links with Victoria College and her influence as an artist; they attended a calligraphy lesson in Richmond with Mrs Goddard; and they interviewed one of our Governors, Dame Harbison, who had been taught by Mercy Hunter when the College was located at the Crescent Art Centre. We look forward to seeing the final CCEA resource Our Artists at the end of June. Thank you to our Prep 5 girls who participated in the project.
