Celebration of Languages Week

On Friday 29th September pupils from PS-P7 celebrated our Week of Languages with an array of exciting activities in and out of the classroom.

All P1-7 girls were invited to create a model or picture of a favourite landmark or place of interest and what a response we had! The models and pictures were most imaginative and created so cleverly with a vast selection of different materials. All models and pictures are on display in the Great Hall and our winning entries can be viewed at our display table in the reception area. A big thank you must go to the girls for participating so enthusiastically in this challenge and to the parents for their support and encouragement.

We were also delighted to hear enthralling presentations from the two German assistants in school, Miss Elizabeth and Miss Lili at our special assembly on Friday.

Lots of exciting activities also took place during the course of the week in the classrooms including cooking, baking, singing and Art work. Prep 5 also enjoyed the opportunity for the first time to share their language learning with a Year 11 French class in Senior School.

We very much appreciate your support in helping us celebrate our Week of Languages in school. Thank you!

Mrs. Burnett (Co-ordinator of Prep Modern Languages)
